If you're looking for a little extra padding to aid in the comfort of your mattress, should it be a little firm or springy, then this could be an option for you. It's a lovely, thick topper that sits on top of your mattress and is helped to stay in place by elastic corner straps. Think of it as a chunky duvet added on top and you're on the right lines for what you're getting.
Value wise it's on par with others I've seen in this range and I personally like that it adds a feeling of warmth to your sleep that's great in the winter months. My hips certainly appreciate it as I had been finding I was having pressure issues with on my old mattress and this seems to have improved greatly since putting the topper on, but I know it doesn't compare quite as well to the memory topper on our guest bed that was more expensive but is really good (a shame that one's too small for our super-king bed).
If you do specifically need a topper for particular support, then it's possible a memory foam topper may be a better option for you as I found this one is more about added softness, but it's still pretty good if you're aware of what you're getting and you think this will fit the bill for you. Pretty happy with mine!
